Our Mission
The Tuxedo Parks and Recreation Department shall strive to develop and maintain quality parks and facilities; to preserve open/natural spaces; and to provide recreational programs and services which will enhance the physical, social and emotional well-being of all residents of Tuxedo.
The Department of Recreation recognizes the vital role of its employees and volunteers in the delivery of recreational services. To that end, a team approach has been implemented that encourages volunteer involvement in problem solving, program and project planning.
The Department of Parks and Recreation seeks to expand the role of its facilities as a focus of neighborhood strengthening activities. The Department encourages the building of advisory councils and, with the assistance of these councils, works to improve the quality and diversity of programs available at recreation facilities to better meet community needs.
The Tuxedo Recreation Department has been developing a concentration on athletics. We want to include; fitness activities, instructional programs, trips for all ages, and various other leisure activities that everyone is sure to enjoy. The Tuxedo Recreation Department’s ultimate focus will be improving the quality of life for all ages, through recreational activities.

SUMMER SPORT CAMPS
1 week program August 11th - 15th
MULTI SPORTS CAMP
Experience over 15 different sports in one week with the US Sports Institute. The multi sport program is the only summer camp dedicated to the truly sports minded youngster. the camp gives participants the opportunity to play a variety of sports from around the world ina fun, safe environment. Campers will receive technical instruction in each sport and will then experience the sport in a realistic game situation. after lunch all campers will participate in the USSI Olympic Games and World Cup competitions.
Ages 5-7 year olds, Time: 9am to 1pm,
Cost $160.00
Ages 8-14 year olds, Time: 9am - 3pm,
Cost $180.00
SPORT SQUIRTS
Ages 3-5 year olds, Time:4:00pm - 5:30pm,
Cost $90.00
The US Sports Institute Sports Squirt Program has been designed to introduce young children to a variety of sports in a safe, structured environment. All games and activities will encompass hand/eye coordination, balance, agility and movement - all key factors to the early development of children in sport. In addition to having a great time playing the different sports, children will develop social interaction and communication skills. All sports are developed through a series of games and activities designed to ensure learning and most importantly:
fun, fun, fun!
